Since her first Commodore 64 computer, Beth has made a verb out of the word nerd. She helps computer users all over the country filter through thousands of apps, gadgets, widgets and doodads to find the perfect free and bargain technology tools for business and personal use through presentations and her books, including the latest title, Your Nerdy Best Friend’s The Big Book of Apps, available on Amazon.com.
During his seven-year tenure as a state CTE director, Stump served as an officer in the National Association of State Directors of Career and Technical Education. In this role, he served on the National SkillsUSA Board of Directors as the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc) liaison.
Stump also served two terms on the Prairie RE11-J school board and one year on the Colorado Association of School Boards board of directors.
Stump received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural education from Purdue University and taught at Manchester High School in North Central Indiana. Before moving to Colorado, he also worked for the National FFA Organization managing the national officer team and the national FFA convention. In May of 2018, Stump completed his Master of Business Administration through Western Governor’s University.

CALLING ALL EXHIBITORS!
Mark your calendar for October 5-8 and plan to exhibit at the 30th Annual ACE Conference! This year’s theme is “Exceeding the Vision”.
We are anticipating 500+ adult teachers, administrators and volunteers from around the state to attend this years virtual professional development event. Another exciting, fun, and information-packed conference is being planned and exhibitors are a big part of making the ACE Conference a success. Exhibitors add a different layer of opportunity for conference attendees to share and learn new ideas and practices in adult education.
Help drive conference attendees to your virtual booth and let you brand shine by sponsoring an event at the conference.We hope you will take advantage of the extra exposure provided to sponsors by checking out the various opportunities in the exhibitor packet attached below.
The deadline for submitting your Exhibitor Application is September 18th. Exhibits will open Monday, October 5th through Wednesday, October 7th. Virtual booths this year will provide you the opportunity to have as many representatives as you’d like active in the conference, a dedicated landing page with resources and contact information, and direct face time with attendees that visit your booth during the exhibit hall hours.
ACE is now accepting nominations in 7 categories to recognize those in the adult education field who go above and beyond to serve and support adult education students and programs. The winners will be awarded the Golden Apple at the ACE Conference Awards Ceremony on Thursday October 8th. If you would like to nominate someone, please download the ACE Achievement Awards Packet, complete the application forms and email to the ACE office. Deadline for nominations is September 4th.
We are looking for student success stories to share at the 2020 Virtual ACE Conference Opening Session! ACE of Florida and the Florida Department of Education, Division of Career and Adult Education will be recognizing one to two adult education students who have reached their life goals as a result of their participation in the adult education system and are now active in their communities.
Student nominees can be current or former students.
The student success stories recognition will take place at the ACE Conference Opening Session, Tuesday, October 6th..
Please take the time to nominate and share your student success stories.
Be sure to get the student permission slip signed giving permission to share their story.
What better way to showcase the wonderful outcomes of adult education in Florida!
