Teaching Skills That Matter (TSTM) in Adult Education is a professional development project of the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) which combines evidence-based materials in five content focus areas of critical importance in adults’ lives.
In this session participants will become aware of and understand the definitions and characteristics of these individuals, understand some of the issues they face, and learn about some effective instructional techniques and strategies in support of these individuals.

The Summer Symposium is an important forum for administrators to gather critical information on current issues related to educating adults. The symposium format
allows participants ample opportunity to share ideas and develop solutions to the educational challenges of serving tomorrow’s diverse workforce.
